Templates

Student Recital Poster Template

Student Recital Program Template

Faculty program and poster templates are available on Microsoft Teams.

Template Instructions

Canva

The templates are designed in Canva. you will need a free account in order to be able to edit the templates. 

  • Do not attempt to remove any locked elements.
  • Do not change fonts. License free fonts that UND permits in design are Oswald Medium, Nimbus Roman No9 L, and Arial. For those with Macs, Helvetica Neue can be used in place of Arial.
  • If you find a template is not working for your needs, please notify Kelly Jordet (kelly.jordet@UND.edu). Under certain circumstances, an alternate can be designed.

Replacing a Photo

  • With your design template file open, select the Uploads icon in the left menu. Click the Images tab and select the Upload files button. Upload files.
  • Select the original photo in the template, and drag the new photo into the area of the original photo. Double click the photo to position it in the frame.

Saving a File

  • To save a design, first, rename it in the top menu (click where you see the file name, such as "Copy of Poster Template - 8.5x11"). You can also rename it under the File tab.
  • Next, select either Save or Move to Folder. If you choose Save, your design file will be saved to Your
    Projects
    . If you choose Move To Folder, you can specify a folder location or create a new one.

Downloading a File

  • Click on the Share tab on the top right.
  • From the Share menu, you can download your design in different file formats, and you have the ability to adjust the file size and other options when relevant.

Livestream Information

If the event will be livestreamed, please email the PDF of the program to Kelly Jordet (kelly.jordet@UND.edu) at least 2 business days in advance so that it can be posted to the website. 

Printing Information

Once your PDF is ready for printing, go to the Print & Mail Center Page to place a printing order. They would like one week’s lead time.

You must fill out a separate form for each PDF file you send.

The posters and programs will be placed in the mailbox of the faculty member in charge of the recital concert after they arrive from the Print Center. This may arrive as soon as the morning after the order is submitted, or up to one week after submission. 

Print Center Submission Form

Below is the information needed to fill out the submission form.

Contact Information

  • First and Last Name – name of faculty member (If a student is submitting the programs, list the faculty member in charge of the recital/concert. Be sure that all programs/posters are approved by the faculty member before submitting to the Print Center!)
  • Email Address – email address of faculty member
  • Phone Number – phone number of faculty member
  • Department/Organization – Music
  • Date Needed – at least one business day before the recital

Billing

  • Billing 
    • for required student degree recitals – Departmental
    • for optional student recitals – Personal (pay online) (you will be able to pay online after the programs are printed, and this will need to be done before you pick them up)
    • for faculty submissions for UND events – Departmental
  • Stop Number – 7125
  • Fund Number – request this information from the faculty member or office staff
  • Department Number – 2380
  • Project Number – leave blank
  • Program Number – leave blank

  • Proofs – select I am submitting a PDF

    • select Delivery with Mail/Stop Number if you would like them delivered to Hughes
    • select Pick up at Duplicating Services if you would like to pick them up
