Brass Studies
The UND Brass Studios offer outstanding instruction, and our students are provided the opportunity to perform in a variety of chamber ensembles, be inspired by guest artists of international reputation, and travel to national and international conferences and musical events. UND brass alums have enjoyed much success in their chosen musical discipline, including careers as performers, educators, and music therapists.
Trumpet Studio
The UND Trumpet Studio is under the direction of Dr. Cory Driscoll. Our trumpet students have the opportunity to perform in various ensemble settings, including chamber ensembles such as the Trumpet Ensemble and Brass Quintet. To learn more, contact Dr. Driscoll.
Horn Studio
The UND Horn Studio is under the direction of Callie Siverson Oberheu. In addition to their studies with Ms. Oberheu, horn students have the opportunity to perform in large and chamber ensembles such as the Brass Quintet. To learn more, contact Ms. Oberheu.

Dakota Brass
The Dakota Brass, UND’s faculty brass ensemble, has been in existence for over ten years, both in the form of a trio and quintet. They have performed at the Great Plains Tuba Euphonium Conference at Drake University and the International Horn Society Regional Conference in St. Paul, conducted a Residency at the University of Manitoba, and been featured as part of the Mayville State University Concert Series. Additionally, they have performed at numerous high schools and churches in the region, from Minneapolis to Bismarck to Winnipeg.
