Red River Trio

The Red River Piano Trio is a music group formed by three UND music students selected to be part of an annual residency in Kanuma, Japan.

Red River Trio Concert
The group studies chamber music for one full year under the direction of Dr. Nariaki Sugiura and Dr. Simona Barbu.Part of the training includes local, regional, and national performances, participation in chamber music festivals and school visits for musical and cultural exchange.

The Red River Trio’s annual final project is a week-long residency in Kanuma, Japan. This project is one of Kanuma’s official events, and the trio gives multiple performances at schools and public venues to promote chamber music.
