Call for Presentations and Posters

Thank you to all who submitted presentations for the 2025 Northern Lights Conference.

Undergraduate and graduate students, as well as professionals were asked to submit a paper or poster proposal by September 30, 2025, for the conference held October 24, 2025.

Keynote Speaker

We are excited to announce the 2025 Keynote speaker, Dr. Alexa Tullett. Dr. Tullett is a social psychology professor at the University of Alabama. She is interested in how people form, hold on to, and change their beliefs, particularly in the realms of politics and science. Some of her work takes a meta-scientific approach, turning the tools of science inward to examine how psychological research is done. She discusses these topics, and many others, on the podcasts The Black Goat and Two Psychologists Four Beers. Her keynote address is titled "Promoting Scientific Skepticism in a Time of Science Denial" and tackles this problem within social psychology, first documenting legitimate reasons for skepticism, then turning to growing reasons for trust, and ending on possible pathways forward.
