Undergraduate Scholarships
The CSD department is proud to offer two scholarships to undergraduate students in the CSD program every year thanks to our wonderful donors. Scholarship selection is based on faculty nomination, a demonstrated financial need, and student application.
John S. Penn Scholarship
The John S. Penn Scholarship Endowment has been established within the University of North Dakota Foundation by his former students and a number of special friends. This named scholarship was announced on October 3, 1987, at a Penn's Pals Dinner which was planned and arranged by a number of his former students. In establishing this named endowment, John Penn's former students and other special friends wish to show their appreciation to him and recognize him for his many years of service to the University of North Dakota. Also, this scholarship in his name recognizes his involvement and leadership in community service.
Edward K. Lander Memorial Scholarship
The Edward K. Lander Memorial Scholarship was established to recognize a student majoring in communication sciences and disorders for scholastic achievement, high moral character, need, and potential to professionally serve the needs of those with communication disorders.
