Speech Language Pathologist
Bismarck Public Schools is accepting applications for a Speech Language Pathologist for the 2024-2025 School Year. This position is responsible for providing evaluation procedures and direct services to students with speech language disorders. Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to work as a team in a highly collaborative setting is required. Candidates should be skilled at assessing the speech and language skills of school age children as well as designing and implementing direct services for speech and language impairments that support the general education curriculum. Qualified candidate would hold a Master's degree in speech language pathology. Duties include conducting formal and informal assessments of the speech language development of students; providing speech language services as directed through the IEP process; and working collaboratively with school teams and parents. Qualifications:Master's degree required.Valid North Dakota teaching license or the ability to obtain a license.Licensed by the North Dakota State Board of Examiners. Speech and Language Pathologist (Autism)
The Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for identifying students with speech, hearing, and communication deficits and assuring that they receive remedial assistance such that each of these students demonstrate, at the very least, a way to communicate with peers, staff and family as a student of Pressley Ridge. To assure the identification of all students with deficits in speech, hearing, and language, the (SLP) will: Review referral information for all new students to determine history of speech or language deficits. Conduct hearing and language screening evaluations for all new students. For all current students, update assessment data yearly. Conduct hearing and language screening evaluation, as needed, in response to staff referrals of students experiencing academic difficulties; When appropriate, initiate referrals to outside agencies for complete hearing and language evaluations. Review available relevant assessment measures and with the approval of the Program/Education Director, purchase new assessments as needed. To assure the remediation of speech and language deficits such that all relevant students demonstrate a minimally acceptable level of communication skills, the SLP will: Review and purchase, with the approval of the Program/Education Director, new materials for speech and language instruction. Create relevant materials for SLP sessions with students. Develop and monitor Individualized Education Plans (I.E.P.s) for students identified as in need of remedial speech and language services. Coordinate and conduct individual and group therapy targeting specific speech or language deficits identified through assessment procedures. Make recommendations to classroom staff regarding appropriate instructional methods for students with speech and language deficits and serve as a staff coach. With the team, identify and integrate experiential activities into the comprehensive program to target specific speech and language deficits. Prepare and submit relevant information, as designated by the Program Coordinator, regarding student progress on progress reports. When appropriate, initiate referrals to outside agencies for special services such as hearing aids, communication devices, etc. Demonstrate a proficient level of cultural sensitivity. Review outcomes data and additional consumer satisfaction questionnaires for effectiveness of service delivery. Utilize technology to provide alternative ways of teaching and developing communication skills. Develop, with the assistance of the classroom Student Aide, visual schedules and visual cues. Establish social language groups for students to be able to actively practice communication skills with each other. To help ensure coordinated school-wide activities, the SLP will: Participate in all relevant IEP meetings. Participate in other team meetings as necessary. Communicate regularly to the Program Coordinator.

Position Summary:SSP2P is currently seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist to join our amazing team! The Speech-Language Pathologist will provide early intervention communication and feeding/swallowing therapy to eligible children in Birth to Three program with a focus on Parent Coaching. This position will primarily serve children and families living in Olympia and Lacey, Washington.Speech-Language Pathologist Duties & Responsibilities:· Work as a team member of a transdisciplinary early intervention group including families· Collaborate with other SLPs and each area team regarding caseload· Provide coaching to parents and direct service to children ages birth to three· Administer evaluation protocols and/or complete consultations to determine eligibility· Participate in development, implementation, and monitoring of the IFSP· Provide thorough and timely written evaluation reports to be accessed by the team members, family & other professionals· Document and maintain record of services and communication with families in the ESIT database· Complete documentation of visit by completing home visiting log and distributing to the family and FRC/HV for child file· Continually monitor effectiveness of treatment and modify goals and/or frequency of service· Plan and create materials necessary for reaching IFSP goals (PECS, AAC, visual schedules, etc.)· Complete billing logs ethically and accurately for speech therapy services providedPosition Requirements:· Masters of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology – new graduates encouraged to apply!· Ability to pass a criminal background check· Valid Washington State Driver's license with acceptable driving record, car insurance, and reliable transportation· Comfortable working within a home-based environment· Must possess a Certification of Clinical Competence by the American Speech and Hearing Association and Washington State Department of Health Speech and Language Pathologist License. It evolved over time and in 2014 became CCC with the addition of occupational and physical therapy. We are located in Springdale in a stand alone building with more than 12,000 square feet of therapy space.
