UND Athletic Band Color Guard
The guard and twirlers perform with the Pride of the North during the football season. We also have performances and competitions in the spring semester. With the UND Color Guard, you have the opportunity to spin and perform all year!
We spin 5 ½ foot swing poles – depending on the skill level and interest of the group. Dance is also incorporated into the choreography.
Color Guard Membership
By becoming a member of the guard you can get class credit as well! Just sign up for Marching/Athletic Band and attend band camp the week before classes start.
The goal of the UND Color Guard is to provide an opportunity for students to participate in an outstanding performance group. We are a unit that teaches teamwork and performance skills, as well as building confidence and self-esteem. We also have a lot of fun doing it!
We are a close-knit team that works hard to perform! If you want to make new friends, get class credit for spinning and performing, and have fun, then the UND Color Guard is the perfect place for you!
Experience
Do not have a lot of dance or spinning experience? Not a problem! We work as a team so that everyone can get the basics down, and we will work with you so that you are comfortable with the choreography.

Twirling at UND
The Pride has featured some of the most talented twirlers in the country over the past decade. They have competed all over the country as well. If you are interested in being a twirler, please email Rob Brooks.
