Pride of the North

Pride of the North is an organization dedicated to representing and supporting the University of North Dakota at its events and games.

Pride of the North is the premier athletic band program of the upper Midwest. Featuring six different bands, Pride is the largest university-supported group at UND and is watched live by over a half a million people each year.

The Pride of the North Band relies on the generous support of donors to make gameday performances at home and on the road possible. The operating cost for the largest student organization on campus is high, leaving little room in the budget to replace older instruments. The UND Alumni Association & Foundation's Back The Band initiative is designed to increase sponsorship and provide the needed support.

Back the Band

Back The Band allows you to sponsor a student, section, or the entire Pride of the North Marching Band while being recognized for your support. When you give $500 or more, you receive Champions Club Priority Points, a member or members of the band will wear your name or your company’s name on the sleeve of their uniform, and you’ll get a chance to learn more about the students you support.

UND Athletic Band

Our goal is to create a safe and encouraging environment where all students can continue to enjoy performing and sharing their talents with the public. Membership is open to all UND students regardless of year or major. In fact, we have members from almost every major on campus and from every corner of the United States.
