Study Abroad in Norway
UND students have a number of opportunities to study abroad in Norway.
Study in Norway
Study abroad in Norway is strongly recommended for all students, not only Norwegian majors or minors, but also any adventurous UND student.
UND has several longstanding exchanges with universities in Norway. There are many possibilities as an undergraduate – from the American College of Norway in Moss and Østfold University College to the University of Oslo and the UiO International Summer School and the BI Norwegian School of Management in Oslo.
Heading north, students can study at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim. New partnerships have formed with the University of Bergen and the Petroleum Research School of Norway, allowing students to combine Norwegian studies with STEM disciplines.
Plan to spend a semester or a year abroad to develop language fluency and grow your cultural familiarity.
Scholarships for Norwegian Students
Students who have declared a Norwegian major or minor or certificate are eligible for several scholarships. Some scholarships are offered through the department, and some are earmarked specifically for the Norwegian program.
These scholarships are the result of the generous gifts of many individuals dedicated to creating opportunities for UND students to experience the Norwegian language by study on campus and abroad. They include these scholarship funds: Andrew Honve, Dr. and Mrs. John A. Johnson, Art and Mary Saastad, Aaron Iverson, Bernhardt Leser, Paul W. Larsen, and John A. Arneberg.
