Issue 3, Spring 2021
Mission
Along the Red River of the North, a series of floodwalls and levees protect the communities of Grand Forks and East Grand Forks from the annual floods that come with the spring thaw. But residents of our community know that the floodwalls aren’t completely sealed off. There are open gates, and there are the bridges that span the river and unite friends and families, two towns, and two states.
Here at Floodwall, we want to do something similar. We want to open gates and make connections. We want to bring students at the University of North Dakota together. To that end, we publish creative work in many genres from undergraduate and graduate students at the University of North Dakota. Fiction, poetry, essays, and art—if it’s work created by an undergraduate or grad student in our #UNDProud community, we want to read it and consider it for our pages.
