Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders
The University of North Dakota Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders conducts comprehensive programs of undergraduate and graduate (professional) training leading to bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees. The program in speech-language pathology is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
It is the mission of the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders to provide academic and clinical instruction, supervised clinical practicum and research experience for students; to provide clinical services to individuals, groups and agencies within the University and greater Grand Forks area; to provide professional leadership with local, state and national organizations; to contribute to the body of knowledge concerning communication processes and communication disorders; and to serve the University and participate its governance.
