First, this program would not happen without the teachers and students coming from the high schools. The hands-on demonstrations and facilitation of the workshop would not be possible without the help of graduate and undergraduate students coming from Chemistry Graduate Student Association and also from Atmospheric Sciences, Chemical Engineering and other science departments.
Critical were/are the faculty contributing with their presentations and coordinating demonstrations. Faculty involved are:
- Dr. Alena Kubatova, Chemistry
- Dr. David Delene, Atmospheric Sciences
- Dr. Matt Cavalli, Mechanical Engineering
- Dr. Yun Ji, Chemical Engineering
- Dr. Guodong Du, Chemistry
The workshop was enabled and continues to be supported through National Science Foundation (NSF) ND EPSCoR DakotaBioCon grant No. IIA-1330840 and NSF S-STEM US MASTER scholarship grant No. # 1060183. We also appreciate the ongoing support of Arts and Sciences College, School of Mines and Engineering at UND, and Red River Valley Section of American Chemical Society.
