Assistantships & Tuition Waivers
The Department of Music has available a number of teaching assistantships for its resident graduate students. Assistantship assignments are made by the Chair of the Department of Music in consultation with relevant members of the music faculty. There are currently two types of assistantships. There are quarter-time and half-time assistantships available that come with a stipend and regularly come with tuition waivers.
To apply for a Graduate Assistantship in Music, indicate your interest on your cover letter, and contact our Graduate School Director:
Dr. Gary Towne, Graduate School Director
Many of our graduate students are granted full tuition waivers to study music at UND. You do not need to request a tuition waiver to be considered for one, but you should have your application completed by the March 1 deadline. Click here for more information!
