Tammy Mulske, M.M.
Academic Advisor/Assistant Director of Bands

Tammy Mulske is Academic Advisor and Assistant Director of Bands at the University of North Dakota. She serves as advisor to all undergraduate music majors and serves as Assistant Director of the Pride of the North Athletic Bands, where she directs the Men’s Hockey Band. She is on the recruiting committee, coordinates events, provides staff support in academic matters and is responsible for department scheduling.
Twice a graduate of the University of North Dakota, she holds Master of Music (Instrumental Conducting) and Bachelor of Music (Music Education) degrees. She also has significant coursework completed in the Bachelor of Business Administration (Information Systems) track. She has taught public school in South Dakota. In the summers, she serves as a Core Advisor during UND Orientation.
Tammy was acknowledged with a 2015 UND Meritorious Service Award, a 2015 Award of Excellence from the UND Office of Admissions and was nominated for Outstanding Professional Advisor in 2016. She is a member of Pi Kappa Lambda Music Honor Society. She maintains an active clarinet playing schedule as a member of the Greater Grand Forks City Band and the 116 Clarinet Quartet. Additionally, she is a member of the Jubilee Handbell Choir at United Lutheran Church.
Students wishing to meet for advising with Tammy should find her on Starfish, email her or just drop by her office. No appointments are necessary outside the early registration window each semester. Majors are notified each semester of this time period.
