UND Math Track Meet General Rules
- Teams shall consist of four students, at least two of whom must be in the lower of the two represented grade levels (7-8, 9-10, or 11-12).
- The method of team selection is determined by the individual schools.
- Each team should have a team name and a team captain, both of which are to be indicated on the team registration form.
- Each school will provide at least one faculty advisor, who will be required to assist at the meet.
- The meet consists of four individual events 15 minutes in length and two team events 25 minutes in length.
- Talking is not permitted during individual events. Talking between teammates is permitted during team events.
- Scratch paper will be provided. The use of a non-programmable, non-graphing calculator will be permitted in some events. Participants must provide their own pencils and calculators.
- The final team score will consist of the total of all individual event scores and the team event scores.
- All tests must be turned in with the answer sheets at the end of the test period.
- The winners of the awards for highest scoring individual in each grade category are not eligible for the individual awards in their particular grade level i.e., the highest scoring individual in the 7-8 category will not also win the award for highest scoring 8th (or 7th) grader.
- Each school can enter up to three teams at each level of competition.
