Apply for a Scholarship
The following scholarships are awarded annually by the Department of Modern and Classical Languages and
the German Program.

• Emil and Audrey Stoltz Scholarship |
Third-year students majoring in German at UND are eligible for this scholarship. Awards commonly range from $300-$500. |

• Ben and Marguerite Rodgers German Scholarship |
German majors beginning their senior year a UND are eligible for this scholarship. Awards commonly range from $300-$500. |

• Herbert H. Boswau Memorial Book Award |
This award provides German textbooks, free of charge, for students beginning their third year of German study at UND. |

• Herbert H. Boswau German Heritage Fund |
Students traveling abroad are eligible for this scholarship. Awards range from $1,000-$2,000. |

This scholarship is awarded to students in German (and other languages) for travel and study abroad. Note: This scholarship must be applied for. Applications forms can be found in the main office (M 320) in December/January and are usually due in January/February. |
|
|
In recent years, the German Program has successfully applied for grants to provide scholarships to students participating in summer faculty-guided study abroad programs. |
