Essential Studies and Integrated Studies
Normally, all courses offered each semester in the Integrated Studies Program (ISP) Learning Community help students fulfill Essential Studies (general education) requirements necessary for all University undergraduate degrees. Each semester usually includes credit from two to four of the Essential Studies categories: Communication, Social Sciences, Arts & Humanities, and Math/Science/Technology.
Work and study in Integrated Studies emphasizes the University's Essential Studies goals: communication, thinking and reasoning, information literacy, and diversity. The Learning Community is an opportunity for any student at UND to strengthen these skills, and the Interdisciplinary Studies: Integrated Studies Pathway major continues to help students build strong skills in these areas.
For information on how courses offered in the ISP Learning Community fulfill Essential Studies requirements, check the following links:

Students who pursue an Interdisciplinary Studies (IDS): Integrated Studies Pathway major can get detailed information from their IDS advisor on what classes required for the major also fulfill UND Essential Studies credits.
