UND Geographers in the News 2012-2013
May 16, 2013: Graduates students, Melissa Wygant and Rick Thalacker, are two of 14 recipients of the 2013-2014 Graduate Research Fellowships from the North Dakota Water Resources Research Institute. Congratulations!
March 6, 2013: Dr. Tobin from the University of South Florida, a global expert on hazards, will be giving a colloquium at the department's forum speaker series on Thursday March 21, 11-11:50am in Leonard Hall Room 110.
January 31, 2013: Dr. Rundquist has received funding for a collaborative seed grant award with Dr. Goodwin (Biology) in the amount of $22,512. The project is called: "The Impacts of Climate-Change, Landscape Change and Weather on Bird Population Trends."

November 29, 2012: The 2012-2013 winners of the North Dakota View Scholarship are: Amber Boll (BA in Geography), Prosper Gbolo (PhD in Geology), Rick Thalacker (MS in Geography), and Jiexia Wu (MS in ESSP).
November 21, 2012: Distinguished Professor of Geography, William Dando from Indiana State University presented on Famine: Physical or Cultural Hazard in Dr. Todhunter's Geog 322 Environmental Hazards class.
