Census Data Center, storing selected federal census data for use by faculty and students in research projects. The Center was established in 1981.
Geographic Analysis and Remote Sensing Laboratory (GARSL), providing spatial processing and visualization capabilities through high-end PCs, digitizers, scanners, laser printers and color printers. Cartographic and geographic information systems (GIS) software packages include the full ESRI suite of products, ERDAS Imagine, IDRISI, Map Viewer, Surfer, Grapher, CorelDraw, and many others.
Weather Record Facility, maintaining climate records for North Dakota weather stations for climate-related research.
Physical Geography Laboratory, providing students with the essential tools needed to map a study area, assess its physical setting and conduct required laboratory analyses. This facility houses field and laboratory equipment for surveying, vegetation sampling, soil analysis, and other microclimatic and fluvial instrumentations.
