Graduate Assistantships

Graduate Teaching Assistantships not only offer financial assistance, but also provide teaching experience. Appointments may be quarter-time or half-time. Most assistantships are half-time requiring about 15 hours of work per week and permitting students to carry from six to 10 credit hours of graduate work per semester.

Graduate Research Assistantships

Graduate Research Assistantships enable degree-seeking students to acquire research experience in their disciplines by assisting with ongoing projects. In some instances, the research may be included in a student's program of study.

Current information on stipends for teaching assistantships and research assistantships may be obtained by contacting UND's Graduate School. Assistantships are assigned on a competitive basis and include a full tuition waiver. Tuition waiver scholarships are also available.
