Research Interests
Primary research interests center on the various insects and ticks that can transmit disease organisms to humans and wildlife. Specific interests center on:
- Malaria parasite development within vector mosquitoes using a population dynamics approach.
- Potential of filarial infections to enhance arboviral infection of mosquitoes.
- The effects that host blood components, such as antibody or drugs, can exert on both vector arthropods and the growth characteristics of pathogens developing within vector arthropods.
