Support UND Arts & Sciences
The College of Arts & Sciences is the cornerstone of the University of North Dakota's mission and integral to each of the university's multidisciplinary initiatives. The generosity of alumni, parents and friends enables the College of Arts & Sciences to advance the frontiers of knowledge, provide outstanding undergraduate education and develop tomorrow's leaders in the arts and the sciences.
Contributions can be made to support our students, faculty, improved facilities, or other innovative projects and priorities.

How can I make a difference to Arts & Sciences?
Annual Gifts
Annual Gifts are those gifts that are to be used for immediate support.
Gifts to the College: You may choose to designate your gift to the College and these funds will be used to support the priority needs of the Dean of Arts & Sciences. In order to attract and retain the best faculty, money is needed for salaries, labs, and research support. Because state appropriations do not fully fund the academic program, private support is necessary to maintain the level of academic excellence for which UND Arts & Sciences is known, and to introduce innovative initiatives in A&S’s 18 departments.
Department Strategic Funds: Individual A&S departments have ongoing need to fund opportunities for undergraduate programs, for graduate student stipends, for research funding, and for countless other needs critical to A&S's legacy of teaching and research.
Student support (Need-Based or Merit-Based): The College of Arts & Science provides undergraduate and graduate scholarships and financial aid, study abroad assistance, and student support.
Endowed Gifts
Endowed gifts are those gifts that establish or support a fund that provides ongoing support by creating an ongoing revenue stream of support.
Faculty support: Endowed chairs, professorships, and fellowships provide the ongoing support that the College of Arts & Sciences needs to recruit and retain a world-class faculty. Endowment funds begin at the $25,000 level with named endowed chairs beginning at the $2 million dollar range.
Scholarship support: Endowed Scholarships provide the College of Arts & Sciences the opportunity to recruit talented students to the campus and to provide them with the resources necessary to succeed. Scholarship endowments are established for many of the programs in Arts & Sciences and many students benefit from these scholarships. As tuition continues increase, the need for these type of scholarships continues to increase as well.

Planned Giving
Giving assets through wills and other planned gifts have played a vital role in shaping the University of North Dakota. These testamentary gifts have helped to build buildings; they have funded student scholarship endowments; established endowed faculty positions and much more. Today, there are many opportunities to thoughtfully plan your gift and ensure your spirit and passion for UND will live on and impact future generations. Our ability to develop future generations of the leaders rests on the individual decisions of our friends to support us. Please consider supporting A& S with a testamentary gift through the UND Foundation in your own plans.
