Former Peer Mentors
Marcie - Academic Year 2017-2018
Marcie, English + Philosophy, was a transfer student with a wide variety of experiences and advice to share with students. During her tenure, Marcie worked with Go Global Academy students while assisting the college with recruitment efforts.
Sydney - Academic Year 2017-2018
Sydney, Communication major with minor in Psychology, started out as undeclared and was a transfer students. During her time as a peer mentor, Sydney worked with the college in recruitment efforts as well as with our undeclared student group.
Meghan - Academic Year 2017-2018
Meghan, Communication Sciences & Disorders with minors in Psychology and Special Education, worked with our undeclared student groups as well as supported the college's recruitment efforts.
Alya - Academic Year 2017-2018
Ayla, Psychology + Classical Studies + Honors, began her undergraduate career at UND as a Psychology major but soon found she was passionate about other subjects as well which led her to take on a second and third major. As a peer mentor, she worked with students in the Go Global Academy and with the college in recruitment efforts.
Zach - Academic Year 2016-2017
Zach is a Criminal Justice major. He is currently serving as a Resident Life Coordinator at University Place. He will be working with students in our probation program as well as our undeclared student group.
“I wanted to be a Peer Mentor because I wanted to help out my peers on campus reach the goal of finding a major. I also wanted to help my peers by providing the guidance and assistance they need in order to achieve the goal of hopefully deciding a major. I am excited to help others on campus and also to interact with other students on campus rather than the ones I see in class, in my residence hall, or in the organizations I am a part of.”
Mary - Academic Year 2016-2017
Mary is a Biology and Psychology double major with a minor in Chemistry. Mary has taken a wide variety of courses across the college and participates in our Pre-Med program as well. She will be working with our undeclared student group and with the College in recruitment efforts.
"Being a peer mentor will give me the opportunity to help others, share my knowledge about various subjects and courses, and illustrate the unique experiences that college offers. In addition, mentoring allows me to enhance my leadership skills and meet new people with whom I can learn from and share ideas with."
Erica - Academic Year 2016-2017
Erica is a Psychology major. Erica started at UND as an undeclared student searching for the “right” major and has taken a wide variety of courses across the college during this journey. She will be working students in our probation program as well as our undeclared student group.
“I am excited to help my peers in situations I have similarly experienced as a student and hope to provide guidance to those individuals struggling or in need of direction. I believe to reach your full potential is of utmost importance and students should strive to achieve that goal.”
Kyla - Academic Year 2016-2017
Kyla is a History major and Anthropology minor. Kyla was a transfer student to UND and serves the community as a USAF Key Spouse (provides council for new military spouses and spouses of deployed service members). She will be working with students in our probation program and with the College in recruitment efforts.
