A&S 499 CHOICE: Creative Humanities Outcomes in Career Excellence
What are you going to do with that major?
NEW Course Offering for Spring 2017
- Part-term course from 01/11/17 to 03/01/17
- 1 credit
- Wednesdays 3:00 – 4:50 p.m. in Merrifield 210
- Pre-requisite: Junior class standing or higher (60+ credits)
In this one credit course, you will learn how your humanities degree uniquely prepares you for the fluidity of today’s economy.
We will identify the value of your education in relation to the specific skills demanded by the current job market, and practice articulating that value through effective written job materials online and in person.
We will put those skills to work building a network while pursuing professional development opportunities, such as internships, based on your strengths and experiences in order to guide your future directions.
This course may also lead to a competitive and incentivized internship opportunity for the second half of the semester.
